Afghan girls' robotics wins silver after US visa obstacle

Teenagers from nearly 150 countries have celebrated the closing ceremony of what has been called the Olympic games of robot building.

But while everyone was chasing medals for their metal, global attention was on the girls’ team from Afghanistan.

The team had initially been refused entry to the US to compete in the competition.

Al Jazeera's Mike Hannah reports from Washington.
