Al Jazeera's Mahmoud Hussein imprisoned by Egypt for one year

Al Jazeera journalist Mahmoud Hussein has now been held in prison in Egypt for one year.

He was arrested while visiting family in the country.

Security services there say he is "under investigation" but have not referred him to court.

The crimes he stands accused of range from "incitement" to "broadcasting fake news with the aim of spreading chaos".

Al Jazeera strongly denies all allegations against Hussein and demands his immediate and unconditional release.

Human rights and press freedom groups have condemned Hussein's detention.

Al Jazeera's Imtiaz Tyab reports from Doha.
