A school tour bus crashed into a ravine on the Indonesian island of Java late on March 10, 2021, killing at least 27 people and injuring 39 others. The bus was carrying junior high school pupils and some of their parents as they were returning from a visit to an Islamic pilgrimage site. Police say brakes on the vehicle may have failed moments before the crash.
