Two explosions outside Kabul airport killed at least 60 people and wounded at least 140 on August 26, 2021, according to an Afghan health official. A suspected suicide bomb exploded at the Abbey Gate, a main entrance to the airport, and one other blast took place near a hotel in the vicinity, Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said.
