Day after day, Brazil keeps beating its own COVID-19 deaths record.
The country is facing the worst healthcare crisis in its history, with coronavirus cases forcing the system to the brink of collapse.
Brazilian media say, on average, more than 2,000 people are now dying every day.
Facing pressure from allies in Congress, Bolsonaro fired his third health minister, General Eduardo Pazuello. And has named cardiologist Marcelo Queiroga to take his place, but scientists remain sceptical of the government response.

Al Jazeera’s Monica Yanakiew reports from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
