The leaders of Brazil's army, navy and air force have jointly resigned after President Jair Bolsonaro sacked the defence minister on Monday.
Bolsonaro is coming under fire for his handling of the coronavirus crisis as daily deaths from COVID-19 near 4,000.
Analysts fear the president is moving to assert greater control over the military, trying to bulldoze over generals who resist the COVID-19-sceptic leader's calls to keep the economy ticking.

Al Jazeera’s Monica Yanakiew reports from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
