Authorities across Latin America have imposed tough new measures to try to limit the rise of a second wave of COVID-19 deaths and infections.
The moves come with the discovery in the region of more infectious variants of the virus.
More people are being vaccinated but growing numbers are defying the restrictions by travelling and partying.
