A chess-playing robot broke a seven-year-old opponent’s finger during an international chess tournament in Russia. During the incident at the Moscow Open on July 19, 2022, the boy’s finger was snatched while the mechanical arm was clearing chess pieces from the board. The injured boy reportedly finished the tournament the next day in a cast, with volunteers helping to record his moves.
