Chile's Boric tries to arrest decline in first state of the union

Chile's new president has given his first State of the Union Address.
Gabriel Boric pushed for unity as he faces a slump in his approval ratings.
Boric has been in office for less than three months but the approval rating of Chile's youngest ever president has already fallen.
He is facing an escalating armed conflict with indigenous Mapuche groups, anger at soaring inflation as well as student protests demanding food subsidies and public school improvements.

Al Jazeera’s Lucia Newman reports from Valparaiso, Chile.
