China’s first photovoltaic power plant that uses both solar and tidal power to generate electricity was connected to the power grid on May 30, 2022. Located in the city of Wenling in eastern Zhejiang province, the power plant reportedly can generate over 100 million kWh annually. The Jiangxia Experimental Tidal Power Station uses drones and AI intelligent diagnosis systems to carry out routine patrols and maintenance works.
