Some 300,000 fishermen are struggling to establish new livelihoods after China implemented a 10-year fishing ban on the Yangtze River this past January. The Yangtze, the longest river in Asia and third-longest in the world, is home to numerous rare fish species, but decades of overfishing and pollution have led to the depletion of fisheries.
