China has dismissed criticism over the death of prominent political dissident Liu Xiaobo.

Tributes continue to be paid to the Nobel laureate, who was serving an 11-year prison sentence when he died aged 61 from liver cancer.

International pressure is now growing on China to release the activist’s wife, Liu Xia, who is under house arrest.

Al Jazeera's Florence Looi reports from Shenyang, China.
