China mass vaccination against COVID: Analysts say roll-out is far too slow

The Chinese government is aiming to vaccinate 50 million people by the middle of February but analysts say that is still too slow.
Scientists say at least 500 million people need to get the jab to reach herd immunity against COVID-19.
But a counterfeit vaccine ring in southern Jiangsu province has shaken confidence in vaccine safety.
The government is also under pressure to roll-out vaccines ahead of the National People’s Congress in March.
