China pushes for regulated recycle workshops to tackle e-waste pollution

Asia’s increasingly wealthy middle class has led to more electronic goods being bought and disposed of.

Environmentalists say the region’s economic waste has jumped by 63 per cent in the past five years.

China is now the world’s biggest recycler of e-waste, but the industry has a poor reputation.
