Fishing boats in the bay area of south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region have again set sail by the thousands, following the lifting of a three-and-a half-month summer fishing ban on August 16, 2021. The Chinese fishing fleets were headed to the contested South China Sea, parts of which are claimed by several Southeast Asian countries and Taiwan.
