Costa Rica: Economist Rodrigo Chaves wins presidential election

A political outsider has been elected president in Costa Rica’s next president.
Economist and former finance minister Rodrigo Chaves surprised many by making it to the run-off, where he has won with more than 50 percent of the vote.
His rival - former President Jose Maria Figueres - has conceded.
