Disabled 10-year-old immigrant faces deportation in the US

A 10-year-old girl living with cerebral palsy could be facing deportation from the United States.

Mexican-born Rosa Maria Hernandez spent nine days separated in a juvenile immigration detention centre - before being returned to her parents.

She's lived in the US for all but three months of her life, but was discovered by border patrol in an ambulance en route to surgery.

Now, her future in the US is hanging in the balance.

Al Jazeera's Heidi Zhou-Castro reports from Laredo, Texas.
