Left-wing candidate Pedro Castillo is set to win Chile's first-round presidential election although he is likely to face conservative Keiko Fujimori in the second round of voting in June, since neither candidate has enough votes to win a simple majority outright.
Fujimori who faces corruption allegations, is the daughter of former President Alberto Fujimori, who is in prison for human rights abuses.
Voters in Peru are concerned about the economy which the COVID-19 pandemic has battered.
