France faces worst butter shortage since WWII

France is suffering its biggest butter shortage since the end of World War II. Shoppers are facing empty shelves as stocks of particular food items reach critical levels.

The French are the world's biggest consumers of butter and some are blaming the nation's rigid rules over food supply that is causing drastic increases in prices.
