Greece floods: More than a dozen people drowned west of Athens

At least 15 people have drowned in Greece after heavy downpours led to severe flooding.

All of those who died came from a cluster of villages just west of the capital, Athens.

The mayor of Megara city has opened up the town hall for people who’ve nowhere to sleep because their houses are ruined.

Emergency services are still pumping out houses but heavy rain remains in the forecast.

Al Jazeera's John Psaropoulos reports from Megara, Greece.
