Guantanamo inmates’ art displayed in New York

An exhibit in New York is highlighting works by eight unlikely artists - former and current inmates at Guantanamo Bay.

Their paintings offer a glimpse into life inside one of the world's most notorious prisons.

The prison holds 41 prisoners today, some without charge, and US president Donald Trump has talked about filling the empty cells again.

Al Jazeera’s Gabriel Elizondo reports from New York, US.
