Guatemala’s president may inch closer to impeachment on Monday.
The Supreme Court is expected to rule on whether Congress should decide whether to strip Jimmy Morales of his immunity.

Prosecutors want to investigate the president over more than $800,000 in potentially unexplained campaign funds.

Morales responded to the allegations by trying to expel the head of the UN-backed anti-corruption commission, which was already investigating Morales’ son and brother.

Al Jazeera’s David Mercer reports from Guatemala City.
