One of four Hong Kong activists who were turned away when they sought refuge at the US consulate in October 2020 has revealed to the Post that he was the teenager who was shot in the chest by a police officer during protest violence in 2019. Tsang Chi-kin, 19, also described being rejected by the US diplomatic mission when he was trying to flee the city as a fall “from heaven to hell”, and that he now has greater fears about the national security law imposed on the city by Beijing.
