A large herd of horses from a farm in China’s western region of Xinjiang has been making its way back to grasslands as snow starts to melt. The animals, which were mainly used as transport by local herdsmen in the past, are now an attraction for visitors during the tourism season that runs from April to September each year in Zhaosu, the county where the farm is located in the Yili Kazakh autonomous prefecture of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.
