The Hong Kong government has launched a new app for tracing contacts among people in an effort to prevent a fourth wave of Covid-19 infections in the city. The app called LeaveHomeSafe enables users to record the date and time they visited public venues. The software is part of government efforts to help people keep track of their movements and alert them if they have been in contact with infected people or visited venues where cases have been reported. The Post tried out the new contact-tracing app in a number of locations around Hong Kong.
