Hurricane Sally has strengthened as it moves northwest across the Gulf of Mexico toward the Southern U.S. There has already been some flooding in areas of Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, and Alabama on Monday.

Mandatory evacuations are already underway for low-lying areas along the Gulf Coast. Sally is forecast to make landfall tonight with ‘life-threatening’ storm surges and rain up to 20 inches.
