Two back-to-back mass shootings have revived the gun reform debate in Congress.

This week, a gunman killed 10 people, including a police officer, inside a Boulder, Colorado, grocery store. Vice President Kamala Harris was named the point person for the U.S. response to the surge of migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border as hundreds of unaccompanied children are detained by border security each day. Members of the Asian American community and allies have rallied together in the wake of a mass shooting and a spike in hate crimes. Health care officials are sounding the alarm on an uptick in new COVID-19 cases to approximately 55,000 per day. And, a volcano in Iceland erupted for the first time in 800 years.
