Footage from various locations around India shows trains being rerouted in order to deliver much-needed supplies of oxygen to hospitals that are overwhelmed with an influx of COVID-19 patients. More than 450 tons of oxygen have been delivered via this new 'Oxygen Express' plan, as the trains have become known.

India is battling its second and most significant wave of COVID-19, with a recent 7-day infection rate above 300,000. In addition to oxygen, hospitals are struggling with a lack of available beds and other supplies. On Monday alone, the country saw 2,800+ deaths as a result of the virus.
