Karmila Purba’s nickname is the ‘Princess of the Wall of Death’. Defying gravity and stereotypes, she slings her motorbike full speed around the wooden walls of a barrel-shaped arena. One of a handful of women who perform the stunt, Purba stages one of the main acts at the travelling carnival in Bogor, Indonesia.
