Indonesian Muslim leader turns himself in over COVID rule breach

A Muslim cleric in Indonesia has turned himself in to authorities for breaching COVID-19 protocol by organising gatherings – including his daughter’s wedding - that attracted thousands of supporters.
Muhammad Rizieq Shihab could face up to six years in prison if found guilty of inciting people to violate health regulations.
The move comes days after a clash between police and Shihab’s supporters resulted in the deaths of six suspected supporters of Shihab.
