Inequality in the US: Missouri blocks St Louis city’s minimum wage hike

Last year, a little over two million workers in the United States were paid at or below the federal minimum wage of $7.25.

The "Fight for 15" movement has succeeded in getting some cities across the country to raise the minimum wage, but many say more needs to be done to fix the growing wealth inequality, which has been fueled by rising living costs and the lack of salary raises.

Al Jazeera's John Hendren reports from the city of St Louis in the state of Missouri, where state legislature blocked a minimum wage hike.
