Ivory Coast’s ruling party the RHDP has retained its majority in parliament, winning 137 of 254 contested seats compared with 91 for opposition parties in Saturday’s polls, according to official results published on Tuesday.
The legislative elections were peaceful for the first time in 10 years, despite the opposition boycotting October's presidential vote.
President Alassane Ouattara has reached out to his predecessor Laurent Gbagbo in a bid for "national reconciliation".

Al Jazeera’s Ahmed Idris reports from Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
