Harumichi Shibasaki is a Japanese grandfather who has become an unexpected YouTube start, amassing over 1.4 million followers on the video-sharing site since 2017. The 74-year-old’s channel called “Watercolor by Shibasaki” has caught attention from viewers drawn to his “warm and peaceful” painting tutorials. His videos cover a range of topics including how to paint cherry blossoms or capturing snippets of daily life such as cooking and harvesting potatoes.
