Two months ago, the Sao Paolo city government ordered the removal of Cracolandia neighbourhood, Brazil’s largest community of drug users and home to nearly 2,000 mostly crack cocaine addicts.

Critics say the government wanted to free up the area for development.

Al Jazeera’s Daniel Schweimler reports from Sao Paulo on what has become of its former residents.
