Macron kicks off Africa tour in Burkina Faso

French President Emmanuel Macron has arrived in Burkina Faso, the first stop during his four-day tour in Africa.

He says he wants to transform his country’s strained relationship with the continent, and will give a major speech on Tuesday to kick start the process.

But he is not the first French leader to make such a promise.

Al Jazeera's Natacha Butler reports from Ouagadougou.
