More Yazidis return to Iraq's Sinjar to rebuild lives

Since June, 18,000 Yazidis have returned home to Sinjar, a significant increase in the rate of return compared to previous months.
More than 300,000 Yezidis fled Sinjar when ISIL (ISIS) took over vast swaths of northern Iraq, committing a genocide against the minority and taking thousands of women into slavery.
Although those returning hope to rebuild their region, many feel they have been excluded from important decisions about the area's governance.
Al Jazeera's Simona Foltyn reports from Sinjar.
