Opposition hopes for victory in Venezuela regional election

Venezuela’s opposition is projected to win a majority of governorships in Sunday’s regional elections.

But voter apathy, a confusing ballot and a last-minute decision to relocate more than 100 voting centres could affect turnout.

The election is being viewed as an indicator of how much support President Nicolas Maduro has, and whether the opposition is still able to mobilize disenchanted supporters
