Paraguay's intensive care beds have run out of space for COVID-19 patients as infections rise sharply.
Nearly 200,000 people have contracted the virus and more than 3,700 have died according to Johns Hopkins University and people in Paraguay have been demonstrating over what they say is the government's failure to handle the crisis.
And the schemes to vaccinate the population have been painfully slow, as is the case in other parts of Latin America.
