Saudi rejects UN blacklisting over Yemen child deaths

Saudi Arabia's ambassador to the UN has rejected the figures in a UN report on the number of children its military campaign in Yemen has killed.

According to the UN, the Saudi-led coalition was responsible for 683 child casualties in 2016 and for 38 verified attacks on schools and hospitals.

The Saudi ambassador describes the figures as misleading.

Al Jazeera’s Mike Hanna reports from the United Nations.
