Nearly 150 people have been arrested in Malawi, charged with murder or inciting violence in their hunt for vampires.

Mobs are attacking people in what's being called a modern-day witch hunt - eight people have been murdered in the last month.

Malawi President Peter Mutharika has sent the military to reassure villagers and asked any would-be "vampire hunters" to turn suspected vampires in to the police, rather than killing them.
