Severe abortion law comes into effect in Poland amid protests

Poland's government has implemented a draconian ruling on abortion, making the termination of pregnancies with foetal defects illegal, prompting widespread protests.
The move which was introduced in October prompted weeks of the biggest demonstrations in recent history.
Now abortions will only be allowed if the mother's life is at risk or in cases of rape or incest.
