Signals detected from Argentina's missing submarine

Hope is quickly fading as Argentine officials say satellite signals detected on Saturday did not determine the location of a missing naval submarine.

The Defence Ministry had said it detected seven failed satellite calls that may have come from the ARA San Juan, raising hopes that the 44 crew members could still be alive.

Contact was lost on Wednesday.

Al Jazeera's Daniel Schweimler reports from the submarine's base in Mar del Plata.
