South Africa tightens restrictions amid surge in COVID cases

New restrictions in South Africa to fight a new, more infectious variant of coronavirus have now kicked in with alcohol sales banned and an extended curfew in place nationwide.
Cases in the country have crossed the one million mark, making South Africa the continent's worst-affected country.
Wards are now nearly full and many young people are getting seriously affected from the disease.
