South Korea looks to beef up defence to counter North threat

South Korea is looking to strengthen its defence system to combat the nuclear threat from North Korea and plans to deploy more advanced weapons.

President Moon Jae-in made the announcement as he outlined plans to boost the country's military exports and global competitiveness.

But the president's first job is to root out corruption, which he says has been limiting growth in the arms sector.
