Spanish border town on edge amid Catalan secession crisis

The leader of the Spanish region of Catalonia has been asked to appear at the national parliament for talks on Thursday.

The central government is moving to strip the region's autonomy, following the secession referendum earlier this month.

Catalan independence would mean a lot of upheaval, especially for those living in the border town of San Rafael del Rio – where hundreds of farmers living on one side own land on the other.

Al Jazeera's Andrew Simmons reports from San Rafael Del Rio on the Catalonia-Valencia border.
