In Iowa’s 2nd Congressional district, Republican Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks narrowly defeated the Democratic rival Rita Hart in November by just six votes. Rather than going through the state, Hart’s appeal to overturn the election results is now being considered in the House of Representatives by the House Administration Committee, despite some GOP representatives and some moderate Democrats having expressed reservations about getting involved in this process.
