Sri Lankan communities are using their own resources to bring aid to people cut off by floods.

Volunteers are helping the military with relief efforts, as the island copes with the worst flooding in 14 years.

At least 203 people have died and at least a hundred others are still missing.

Al Jazeera's Charles Stratford reports from Karangoda.
