The Syrian currency is in a downward spiral, sending the price of food and basic goods soaring by more than 200 percent.
That means an increasing number of children is trading in school for landfills.
The World Food Programme estimates more than nine million Syrians suffer from food insecurity - that is half the country and the highest on record.
