The Taliban fired multiple warning shots at an anti-Pakistan protest in Kabul on September 7, 2021. Protesters, many of them women, were seen fleeing for cover. Earlier, hundreds of demonstrators took to the streets to express anger over alleged Pakistani interference in Afghan affairs. It’s alleged that Pakistan provided help to the Taliban in the fight against the last holdout region of Panjshir, with suspicions fuelled by a visit to Afghanistan from the head of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. At the protests, demonstrators also voiced concerns about women’s rights and denounced Taliban rule.
