Thailand started testing more than 10,000 people for the coronavirus on December 21, 2020, after the country recorded an outbreak at a shrimp market in Samut Sakhon. The number of cases, mostly among migrant workers in the province southwest of Bangkok, is considered the country’s worst outbreak so far during the pandemic.
